Unfortunately there is no full proof method of knowing, if you like somebody you could just discretely ask them, otherwise there isn't really much you could do.

You can't actually know someone's gay, it's not like instinct or "gaydar" or anything. If someone's gay, they'll tell you.

Some people suggest that you can infer someone is gay by watching their eyes when people walk in the room. Though, it's still not a good indicator.

Many people claim to have a gaydar, and they may be right about a persons sexuality, but it's purely by luck/chance. The only way to know for certain is to ask them, though some people will get offended. Best of luck!
