Why do girls wear strings an such?

I don't understand why girls like wearing underwear that is between your buttcheeks all day. I can't imagine how that can be comfy.

I just find normal underwear uncomfortable. Especially with jeans. I think my jeans fit better with thongs. Whenever I wear normal underwear under jeans, my pants always want to fall down. And I don't have to worry about panty lines or my underwear loosening up and sliding down. And my butt always looks much nicer. To be honest, the string doesn't bother me that much. I hardly notice it unless it's an elastic string and it's too tight. But if it fits right, it's not bad at all.

That doesn't happen to me, because I tend to keep my shirt pulled down, or have a hoodie on, but it's no different than normal underwear showing.
