It's not the first time this happens to me. I sometimes can't fall asleep, I constantly roll in my bed, I start panicking about my brain in the future. I'm already feeling the effects of sleep deprivation: short-term memory loss, inability to concentrate. What will happen to my brain in the future? I'm extremely afraid of what can happen...

if you smoke cigarettes then sleep deprivation is the least of your worries. Also this is a fact of life, your mind is not going to be perfect all your life, age takes care of that. The problem is not losing mental capabilities, it's learning to accept them and live with them. You need to stop worrying about inevitabilities.

I just put a reply in ur other thread http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=172179 and if u are having trouble sleeping too and anxiety feelings you should really def go get some advice off ur doctor. One of my best mates ever ever had anxiety and depression and it sounds really similar to the things u describe (altho im not a doctor obv).

The important thing to remember is its okay to go through this stuff, the human body is like really compilcated and its not always perfect, but even tho u can feel **** sometimes, you are actually way way tougher than u think. Every day millions of things happen that your body takes in its stride and u dont even notice.

Fact: theres like 40 million ppl in the US* who have anxiety related medical stuff they ought to get sorted out (science can do good things to help), but sadly only like a quarter ever go talk to their doctor.

Im not a doctor but you should def def def go get some advice from someone who is, who knows, they may be able to help!! Altho tbh cutting down the smokings gotta help too especially in the evenig, its a stimulant and so even if it makes u think ur relaxing, ur actually going to mess with ur sleep patten!

Good luck

* i looked it up!
