I have a few cuts from like a month ago that still aren't healed. They were deep and I don't know if I should have gotten stitches instead when I did it. And if you were to see them they still have a really purple/red fleshy look to them through a thin layer of skin. What should I do about this, wait longer?

go to a doctor and get some cream. this cream will heal your skin and prevent scarring
i suggest if you want to cut again use an elastic band or draw red lines on yourself
I use both regularly

If they were that deep, you must go to the doctor. It could get infected, and make it 100x worse.

A couple of months is alright in my mind. I've had to wait months for both middleish and deep cuts to heal and scar over. Sure they might have healed quicker if you had them stitched but without that it's just a matter of waiting it out. Purple/red is the usual colour they turn when healing so I wouldn't worry about that. It could be a year until they lose the colour and turn white.

You should look up the symptoms of an infection though because that's going to be a lot worse. Just treat them carefully and you should be fine but if you start to develop a fever and overheating then you should be worried and I suggest you tell someone.

Deep scar tissue itself can be a dark red/purple colour and appear raised and almost as if there is a thin, filmy layer of skin over top of it. However, if the skin around the healing scar appears discoloured, warm to the touch or still causes pain after a month, this is an infection.

However, if they were infected, you would have noticed awhile ago. It's more likely that this is just the natural healing process. Usually they will fade over time but not quickly. One of mine is still fairly pink even after nearly two and a half years. Products like Bio Oil, Scar Zone and, I believe this is what it's called but I've never used it, Mederma can help fade scars though typically those work better on more superficial scars in my experience. You mostly just have to wait it out. If you're really concerned, see a doctor, of course.

I can also recommend that cocoa butter does a good job of re-moisturising the tissue and soothing the healing skin. I've had a number of friends say good things about it and I mostly just like the smell, heh.
