When Star Wars Episode VII was announced I started writing a story set in The Old Republic era that I am thinking of calling "The Saint of Hope" that connects with the MMO and RPG games that could fit to it, I got so inspired into it that I then realized I could extend it into a 3 season TV show :eek:. It explores the nature of both the dark and the light side and also human nature itself. Well, I just wanted to share a part of what I wrote. Tell me what you think! The main character is called Saga (for now) by the way.
Saga laid on the floor, defeated by the Sith lord Krath unable to block his force lightning after loosing his lightsaber. He had no energy left, making him unable to stand up and keep fighting. "Pathetic" stated Krath, "I thought an individual with knowledge of both the light and dark side would put up a fight, but I see I overestimated you." Saga managed to move his right arm in a desperate attempt to stand up, he knew it could be the end if he lost all his energies. "I should leave you to die here, but since I knew you when you were a Sith student I shall give you a quick death. You should be thankful that you will not live to see all those friends of yours fall against me, one by one they will suffer and die just like you." What Krath had just said angered Saga, he would never see his companions suffer, especially not Alanna who he had fallen in love with. Saga had a burst of adrenaline flow through his body that gave him the strength to stand up while he thought about his friends, none of them would die by Krath's hand, not while he was alive.
"What? No man that I have fought with has stood up after being shocked like that, how could you do it?" exclaimed Krath as Saga inflicted fear into his heart. "You see Krath, I will not let you harm any living thing I care about, even without my lightsaber I shall find the way to defeat you." Saga had a deadly look in his eyes, the same look he had when he immersed himself into the darkside to defeat a Jedi master. "You have no chance after being shocked like that, make a stand if you like but you will not resist a second time." Krath extended his arm as he let out lightning from his fingers. Saga could not dodge it, he was in an immense amount of pain when he heard a voice talking to him. It was none other than Alanna who was talking to him through the force. "Saga, he is nothing compared to your true self, let your power flow, let our love for you flow within you." Saga was about to perish, however he had enough energy to raise his arm in one last attempt. Krath smiled as Saga suffered, however that soon changed. Saga raised his arm and was able to stop and absorb his lightning fueled by love and hope for the future. He then sent the lighting back to Krath, making him fall to the ground. "It is impossible that someone as hurt as you could manage to hurt me with my own attack! How did you do such a thing?" asked a wounded Krath. "You see Krath, my love for my friends and my determination to defeat you is greater than your hate for me, if you continue like that you will never succeed."
Krath was amazed by Saga's comeback, but he would not fall so easily. "Well then, prove that you can defeat me! Get ready to receive my lightning again!" Krath stood up and started to emit lightning, Saga was about to receive it when he started emitting lightning as well, both had the same amazing strength, a single mistake and one of them would perish. As they both gained strength the lightnings made a flash of light. Krath covered his eyes to then see Saga in the ground. "Well done Saga, you have gained more power in combat than anyone I have ever heard of. I wish I could save you, I really do." Krath then perished to the ground, lifeless and defeated, just like Saga had said it would happen.
