From what I've been told (I ask a lot of questions :P), you can only have your account deleted for a very valid reason, so you can't just have your account deleted because your leaving the site, there has to be quite a good reason, but you definitely can have your account deleted. I think your best bet is to PM an admin, rather than just wait for one to respond in this thread, as they will probably ask you to PM them anyway.
