I've always been in the 'normal/average' weight range, but I always wanted to be thin.. with like a BMI of 20. This past month I struggled so much to lose just 10lbs. My goal is to be 130lbs, but every time I eat I feel very guilty that sometimes I want to puke it out, but I don't want to become bulimic so I don't do it. What can I do to stop feeling guilty? I want to eat a sandwich without having fear that i'm going to re-gain those 10lbs :(

the best thing to do to not feel guilty is to do research on the human body and how it digests food and the absolution of nutrition. knowledge is power

this...doesn't really have anything to do with your gender. at all. boys can develop eating disorders, too! and also, it might help you to research the human body/digestion, but that might also just gross you out and make you not want to eat.

in the end, it's really a psychological thing. you have to recognize that you don't need to lose weight, and that looking healthy is better than looking thin. the guilt is your brain trying to tell you that you're fat, and so you shouldn't be eating. that's SO WRONG. you need to become comfortable with your body, which is a lot easier said than done...which is why people have counselors and specialists to help them out. it's okay to ask for help, trust me. it's better to catch it early, too. the further in you go, the harder it is to get back up.

do things to boost your confidence, remind yourself that it's really okay to eat. it's actually necessary. you need to eat to live! clearly i'm not a professional, therefore i don't know how to counsel you or to properly help you. the best thing i can probably tell you is to see a counselor.

good luck, man. and remember: eating disorders aren't sexist, a male developing an eating disorder is just as serious as a female developing one. don't let your gender stop you from getting help.
