There is plenty of good editing software out there, it depends on where you are willing to look though. The bay is the best place. Sony Vegas is the best, and it is what I use.

Also note that it isn't about 'good' editing software, it is more about how willing the user is to learn how to use the software properly.

Windows Movie Maker is the most professional editing software ever... I cannot stand saying that even as a joke. If you own a Mac iMovie is the way to go. Other than that ZS4 is another powerful software and so is VirtualDub.

On Mac, use Final Cut Pro.
For Windows(what you should be using), I recommend Sony Vegas.

Windows, I recommend Adobe After Effects. However, for the best results, Sony Vegas or Sony Movie Studio (almost the same thing) and then use After Effects for final touches. After Effects is my favorite. I used After Effects only to make my first lyric video.

I mean, sure, it's not the best (some parts may be off-sync and fast parts may not be that readable). But it was my first try and they are cool to make that way (VEVO does the same thing).

I just made this now. Working on finishing it but I am using Adobe After Effects CS6. Amazin program :D
