New thing... 10+ poster?

so it doesnt look like your a complete newbie, because I already know this site pretty well, buuut, Its frustrating seeing my thing as "new" maybe add a 15+ poster or maybe a 10+ ?! Please!!

You're not the only one who gets it though, and it doesn't make you look like a complete newbie. It just means you haven't posted as much. No one's going to think differently of you because your title says 'new' instead of '15' or whatever. No one really pays attention to them anyways, unless you have a custom one (which you get at 2500 posts). Plus, your title changes at 25 posts to 'Junior Member'. I don't really think this is necessary, but that's just my thought.

I don't think this is necessary either. I mean, it really isn't that hard to get to 25 posts. If you (or any other member) really doesn't like the "New Member" rank then depending on how often you post it should be gone after a few hours to a few days.

It's not too much of a stretch to get to 25 posts. You should be able to get there in no time :)

I think it's kind of pointless. You posted this thread today and are already well past the 25 post rank... Is it really needed?

It's not negative, it's to-the-point. Even the "25+" rank is a bit closely-spaced, in my opinion. If it ever became an issue, I'd remove the "25+" rank entirely(but it's not an issue, so I'm not going to worry about that).

We could add a rank for every 5 posts if we wanted to. But there's no need. Either way, people stop paying attention to ranks after about 500 posts. Then it becomes more of a distracted "oh cool" thing.

It's not that hard. Find a forum here that you like, make or post in several interesting threads, and you'll be at 250 posts in no time. :)

I think it's fine the way it is. It's not too much of a stretch to reach 25 posts, and really, no one cares if you've been around for 3 days or for 3 years, as long as your posts are good. :)
