It's a pretty cool site that lets you build any pokemon team and battle with it in ranked matches or against friends. or you can do matches with random teams if you want. has lots of other features like replays and watching other people battle.

This is interesting. I still play Shoddy Battle from time to time with old friends. I might have to look into playing this some time when I get bored.

yay :) btw you'll probably notice pokemon are divided into tiers. basically if you play in a tier then you can use any pokemon from that tier and below. so OU, which is what most people play, any pokemon is allowed except the extremely powerful ones like mewtwo, dialga, lugia etc. thats what i usually play

you can try getting some tips from smogon.com, they give you a good starting point. like, you can look up a pokemon you want to use and they'll have examples of good movelists and stats for it, and other pokemon that synergize well with it
