So as everyone knows, back in WWII Hitler brainwashed the youth to basically worship him and the party. Well, what I've always wondered, Is are there still Germans who are pro nazi because of the brainwashing camps? Wouldn't it be really, really, really hard to try to shake that off?

I don't know. Maybe their are a couple, but they would be pretty old now since that happened so many years ago. But I'm pretty sure it died down within 20 or maybe 30 years after the war? I dunno, but I don't think there would be many pro-nazi's anymore since we are trying to make sure that something like that won't ever happen again.

My step dad travels to Europe some, usually Germany. According to him, there's a few neonazis but its a really small group

Neo-nazism is still a thing, yes. But it is illegal *in* germany and will get you into a cold cell.

There are plenty of Pro-Nazi Germans. It was a reactionary movement towards immigrants coming from Middle-Easterners to Europe.

Yes indeed, I'm more concerned by the Neo-Nazis groups that are rising up across America claiming that the Arayan Race will conquer haha, half of them aren't even close to being German. The problem is that a there is a difference between blind obedience to Hitler which was pretty much gone in the latter stages of the war and loyalty to the National Socialist cause, Thats what we need to be wary of

I'm just guessing, but I'd bet there are more Nazi's in America than there are in Germany.

Yeah there are a couple. There's a neo-nazi gang in my school. Quite frankly it's pathetic.

Hitler set up camps for kids. That way they could teach them about their ideology

Not so much Hitler setting up camps, more through the use of the Hitler youth and the SS. The worse thing was that it wasn't brainwashing as such, more creation of animal loyalty to the third Reich

Hitler Youth was an organization not really a camp. Think of it as like the boy/girl scouts but on a much larger scale and they were taught Nazi propaganda. It's not like the kids were taken away from the families and sent to some boarding school - it was a organization. Rallies, etc on the weekends and after school.

They had training academies but those were for the future leaders of Nazi Germany so those were very prestigious and only a certain amount of people got in. Imagine it like Phillip Exeter Academy - but - again, with Nazi propaganda.
