I want to quit porn and masturbation for the rest of my life. I know that some of you may not agree with me and may not understand why I want to do this and i respect you if you disagree with me, but I think that I could be better off doing something else.
Now you see, i have been trying to resist masturbation for two days, and i have been successful only those two days. but earlier this morning, when the urge started to rise, i did not know what to do. i started to guzzle a bottle of water and that did not work. instead it intensified my urge. i could not tell the difference between the urge to pee and the need to masturbate. I finally went over the canyon and i felt relaxed after I had done it.
then later, i wanted to masturbate more. so what i did was i turned on my computer and as i was jacking off, i opened a web page and then googled for pornography. i found what i needed and i watched it. but as soon as i started to ejaculate i wanted to close down the porn. so what do you suppose this could be?

First of all, it seems like your stressing yourself too much. You shouldnt be ashamed about watching porn or masturbating, nearly everyone does it.
Also, you said you wanted to stop masturbating so you had more time to do other things, but it seems like your spending more time trying to stop masturbating than it would take to just jerk one off

not really. whenever the urge comes up, i have no idea what to do. i just jack off right then and there. i'm glad to know that everybody else does it, which probably wont discourage my viewing and stuff.

The best thing to do is to be busy and not think about it. A site that is really helpful is yourbrainonporn. Good luck!

You can quit, but the hard part is retraining yourself.
Try this: get a piece of paper and write down where you are, what you are doing, and what you are thinking about every time you feel the urge to masturbate. It might sound crazy but it helps you to start to figure out when and why you want to do it so that you can change your habits.
Also, try finding something you can do to help out that is distracting for you. It can even be sweeping the floor or walking the dog. Something that breaks your thinking.
But don't kill yourself if you mess up. It happens. Just don't tell yourself that you can't quit. You can do anything you set your mind to do.

I've not got the answer if you want to stop, but for the latter part, when ther have been times when I've gone a couple of days without. Because of this I have found it a lot easier to ejacjulate twice over a realatively short space of time. I do generally quickly lose interest once it's happend, so it is quite normal to lose interest in what you're doing.

well i actually thought about this last night. i was masturbating and then I realized that the real reason why i do it sometimes is that I want to get release. I actually want to get semen out of my body because i read somewhere that ejaculating often can help get rid of some substances that are potentially harmful to me.
i honestly don't see how porn can be appealing since it's all routine. LIke i dont do it on a regular basis, only during winter or spring break, when i'm left alone at home and feel like there's just no way out, like there's no special place to go to. the area i live is so ghetto, like there aren't that many fun places to travel to so i stay at home most of the time. plus most of my friends take ap classes so right now they're preparing for ap bio and apush. lucky them, i wish i had taken those courses. if i did, i would have less time on the internet and i would not be resorting to these films. i mean, i'm already 17, so shouldn't my hormones start subsiding already? and i've already developed secondary sex characteristics(facial and body hair) which is a sign of maturity, so i still don't see how i have not been able to find porn distasteful.

Does that mean you only masturbate when you have nothing else to do?
PS. ejaculating often doesnt get rid of potentially harmful substances in the body, but it can release built-up semen. Thats all.

You would be better off concentrating on the "guilt" you are harboring over beating yourself up for masturbating, rather than how much you beat off. I could understand it if you were 13 and had just started, but at 17, you should realize it is a perfectly normal, healthy human activity that everyone does. Porn is another thing, it can be repetitive, but I actually find the beauty of a person truly enjoying bringing themselves to orgasm or others to orgasm, and I don't tire of it, it is exciting and I see nothing wrong with sharing it with others..I think you have some issues loving yourself, and suggest you work on that rather than torturing yourself for jerking off...

yeah but porn kind of gives you a different view of what sex is like. if i remember correctly, sex is pleasurable, not painful like they portray it in porn films. unless those guys are masochists, i still don't see why those guys would moan.

Who says they are moaning in pain??If you are talking about anal sex, it can be painful to begin with, but if done right, can be very pleasurable..some people get off on pain, but there is a lot of porn that is pure pleasure..just like everything else in life, different strokes for different folks..
