Bro, if I were you I'd think twice before hating on the moderators, if it weren't for them, this place would be a mess.

As the user above said, the forums would be a mess.
Moderators only lock posts which break the rules, and to keep the site tidy.
If you have an issue with a post that was locked, politely contact the mod who locked it.

Your obviously doing something wrong if they're locking it *facepalm*. So obviously they don't want you doing that.

How about PMing the mod who locked your thread instead of posting something so pointless? And why are you replacing your "r" with a "3?" ...

Yup, these. If you've got a problem about a thread, drop a moderator a PM and we'll explain to you why. :)

Bare in mind that the OP may request to lock a thread themselves if it's sorted their question or they have lost interest, etc.

What can a mod do if you contact them?

Explain why it was locked. Potentially unlock it if they got the wrong message from it. Etc.

They lock posts that break the rules, and they should be locked.
On a side note, I think someone should lock the post XD lol. Jk

We only lock threads that are inappropriate.
If its in the puberty 101 area it will get locked for a variety of reasons.
1) Being Inappropriate
2) Not Puberty Related
3) Not Educational (usually goes well with point number 2)
4) Part of the post was inappropriate
5) Bumped or the original poster was banned.
We do have other reasons for locking but those are the general reasons that are commonly used. If you have any questions on why a thread was locked then you can private message the moderator in question and ask why it was locked. You don't need 100 posts to private message a staff member.

If you haven't read the rules, it might help you to read them.

Just my opinion here.
Isn't there a general teen sexuality forum? If it's not puberty-related, but still sex related, why not move it there?
If part of the post is inappropriate, I'd just edit that part out.
If the OP is banned or the thread is old, you can take it two ways... lock it or let it slide. If you lock it, you can't really complain about trying to keep the forum tidy, since you're encouraging more threads. I'd rather have one thread about "how big is your penis at age 15" versus several.
Then again, that's just me speaking.
I've found out from a different site (if you must know, 100% non-puberty related) that it's always better to use a lighter hand if you don't want to risk alienating your users.

Teen Sexuality is about discovering and solving issues related to teen sexuality aka LGBTQ sexuality, not teen sex. Occasionally the two topics will mix and some are appropriate and some are not appropriate.
If a part of post is inappropriate I can edit it out. However it depends how much, if its like most of the post then editing it out isn't a viable option. Same with surveys if you've got 5+ questions that are inappropriate and about 14 people have replied its hard and very time consuming to edit all that out.
Surveys and polls will always remain open even if the OP is banned. Threads with a personal or direct question will be closed because its no longer useful to the original poster and since he can't view it, no reason to keep it, so we lock it.
I know what you mean but its really a case by case basis when it comes to locking.
