Beats by Dre are realllllly overpriced. $50 Sony headphones have the same quality sound.

Skullcandy. Other brands may have better sound, but it's not worth what you have to pay for them.

Anything by AudioTechnica, Sennheiser, or Ultrasone.
Almost everything else is either overpriced, crappy, or obsessive.

I rejected all these answers, i chose the impossible, I chose... Logitech. Plus, I do not use headphones, I use headsets.

I do not use headphones, I use headsets.
Then this thread is clearly not for you because this thread is about headphones.

I think skullcandy Ink'd ear buds are the best for my money. I mean they are 8 bucks at discount stores like zTJ Maxx and Marshalls. You know they aren't cheap either because at places like Best Buy and Zumiez, they're like 25 bucks!

I use Skullcandy, and I love them. But, Beats are amazing too. I mean, I can turn on my beats in class and have them up halfway, and the entire room can hear what I'm playing. I just don't always use my Beats, they're so expensive! I'm always afraid to let anyone else touch them.

Personally I use Ultrasone HFI-580
headphones.
They go for about $200.
Excellent German company, and manufactured in Taiwan.
They have great balance, incredible frequency response, warm punchy tone, they have the least ammount of harmonic distortion I've heard out of any headphones, they're robust, and have AMAZING seals. It's basically completely silent when I put them on.
:)
I love music.

Audio-Technica, Sennheiser, or Bose. All dependable brands, with a wide variety of affordable headphones, as well as professional level.

I know I need to try more makes and models but I like sony. Cheap but good. seal is pretty good so I don't hear much outside noise.

Uh, I have no clue what brand my earphones are. I could care less what it is, as no earphones can fit in my ears properly -_- hmm I think it's Panasonic but I don't know.

Its funny how a brand with horrible leakage is considered amazing by some.
Koss/Sennheiser my top 2... But I have little experience with headphones

While indirectly related to music, this is probably better suited in Tech Junky's Paradise.

Sony and Bose are two definitely good investments in my opinion. The sound is so unreal.

Definitely Beats by Dre. Unbelievable sound quality. They look great too!!
/trolling ;)
In all seriousness, I like Sennhesiers and Audio technicas. The sound quality is great, and they aren't a ripoff like... beats.. :s
I have a pair of Sony XB500s, they have amazing bass and defiantly worth the $50.
edit: the leakage of the XB500s is ... horrible lol. Leaks too much. But they are still worth it.

Skullcandy and Beats.... I know, comparing apples to oranges, but the Skullcandys are great quality for the cheap price, and my Beats SoloHDs are amazing, though I never would have bought them, my parents did. To me, a wee bit overpriced, but I'll take them, they sound awesome.

Sennheiser, Sony and Bose are all great in my opinion for sound.
From a style aspect, Skullcandy and Beats take the cake.
Its really whether you care more about style or sound quality.

This.
I'm also not a fan of Skullcandy. They're also not worth their price. It feels like I'm paying extra just for a logo on the side.
I found a great pair of durable, long lasting Klipsch headphones that work incredibly well. They were 1/4 less expensive than the Skullcandy ones and were triple the quality.

I use No Fear. I LOVE their AMPLIFI Ear Buds brand. Their really good quality, and they're durable. The volume control is helpful also. It can make them REALLY loud. :3
They also have a nice long cord so you can actually move about.:P
Plus, they come in numerous colours. I usually stick to the black. :P XD
As a bonus. they're only £3.99!!! :D

I think beats and bose headphones deliver great audio quality, but beats tend to distort at high volumes
