Okay, so I'm a soprano in my high school choir and i have a concert tomorrow. I've been having a nonstop cough for about 4 days now and it's effecting my ability to hit the high notes in some of my songs because my voice cracks because of it. Does anyone have any tips on how to get rid of my cough by tomorrow evening?( I also don't want to cough during the concert)

drink some warm tea or anything warm to loosen the muscle in your throat. that's what I did when I sang for my band during practice. but I wish you luck

Likely, it's not just going to disappear before tomorrow night, unfortunately.

As cmdrcharmander said, I'd recommend trying warm liquids, such as tea, hot chocolate, etc. And water. Lots of water. I'd also recommend trying a cough medicine/decongestant, as that might also provide you with some relief.

I've also heard somewhere that gargling salt water can help, but I'd google that yourself and see if it sounds like it'd be a good thing to try based on your symptoms. Good luck :)
