Odd Discharge

Heyy...

So I finished my period about 4 days ago. It's never come early (once a week and a half late).

Anyways, so when I went to the bathroom I found the clear, stringy discharge. The type that is like petroleum jelly mixed with the glue on advertisments in the mail.

However, it had a red streak through it. It wad a reddish, brownish, coppery color.

Is this normal and what is it?

It sounds relatively normal to me. You said you've just finished your period, so it could be that your body is getting rid of the excess blood.

To be safe keep an eye out for changes that may occur in your discharge, including:
• unusual increase in amount
• change in texture: for example curd-like or frothy and watery
• change in colour to grey, yellow, green or brown
• change in smell: for example fishy or yeasty.

If you get any of those, you need to see a GP or sexual health advisor.
