Varsity Sports

Im a freshman at my high school and I am on varsity soccer! I was just wondering how many other freshman made are on a varsity sport at their high school. If so are you better than some of the other people and what is it like? I know I get a lot of crap from guys as a joke, like "freshman go shag balls" and stuff like that. Do you get that too?

I made it on my varsity high school team (football) as a freshman, since my school gets alot of national attention (because of the size of it's student body and national champions in soccer) it was a big deal.. Although teammates many being upperclassman didn't like me until I "earned my stripes" I'm better than the other quarterbacks on the team but don't have the experience but I still got the starting role over them.. It was weird but I got used to it. Anyways congrats on making the team!

Freshman year of football I started Varsity (football) as a halfback, I didn't have much size but I could move and I got the ball down the field. I was second string defensive tackle and since then now have more size and workout so my defensive tackle position is my most favorite on the field. I also am starting now as a fullback and a defensive tackle. I don't play for a crappy school either. We have national recognition and go to state playoffs every year. We just had a freshman sign for a full ride to OSU and he's on the JV team. We have food teams rolling.

Well most freshman that get on varsity their first year usually played that sport their whole life and probably on club. I bet if I sticked with soccer all my life and through high school I could have been on varsity last year as a freshman.

ya i am on varsity cross country and it's pretty cool. Luckily people don't really say things like that to me haha

well, last season, i was starter on freshman and frosh/shoph line up and then second on the JV and varsity for wrestling, and it is only my first year. next year though i will be starter on varsity for 220.

I'm not in high school yet but I was on the all star soccer team in the league I play at. My position is the attacking Midfielder. :)
