A picture supposedly showing the “Facebook phone” by HTC has emerged on Twitter ahead of its expected launch tomorrow.
“HTC First” is the name of the device according to the photo, posted by @evleaks on Tuesday night.
Facebook is inviting the media to witness its “new home on Android” tomorrow in California. HTC is expected to unveil its new “Facebook phone” at the event.
The new device’s homescreen is likely to prioritise Facebook services such as friends’ status updates.
The phone will have a 4.3 inch screen, 1GB of RAM and a 5-megapixel camera, according to Android Police, which obtained a system dump of the smartphone.
The social media giant aims to make use of Android’s open source software to bring the new features to other Android smartphone manufacturers such as Samsung.
