So it's that time of year again, the time to choose next year's courses for school. I have a pretty good idea of what I want to choose, and my parents are okay with it for the most part, except for one part: English and Social Science.

See, I hope to study an engineering major in university. This university (http://www.tue.nl/) is in the Netherlands, which has a totally different school system from the USA. The reasons for me wanting to go there are a long story, but it's mainly since I'm a citizen, tuition is so much cheaper than here. And I like it there.

My parents want me to take AP English and Accelerated US history. However, I'm also taking Physics Honors and Pre-calculus Honors. All of these classes say that they will have at least one hour of homework, per class, per day, with the exception of AP English, which has 1.5 hours. On top of that, I'm also the lighting designer for the Drama class, which means I'm there for about 3 hours per day, most every day. Can't forget the other classes, though.

So when I do some (optimistic) calculations, I come out to using 168.5 out of 168 hours per week for school and life in general combined. This is assuming I only do classes, sleep, eat, and have "personal time" of an hour or two(if I'm lucky).

But no, I "have" to do at least one AP course this year. Otherwise, the university might not accept me because I "only took easy classes"(I don't consider physics and pre-calc easy, per se).
What do you suggest I do? I really don't want to waste all of my junior year doing school only.
