Can people choose to be gay? Or are people born gay?

I ask this question because my friend said that she doesn't like girls anymore, which made me kind of sad because i liker her:( but anyways, what do you think? I personally think that people are born gay and that it's not really something you can change. I feel like i was born gay and that i wouldn't be able to change even if i wanted to.

They are born gay, but some just decline it.

I think you're born that way. Your friend was probably just confused about it and whatnot and has figured out that girls aren't actually for her. It's a lot more common for girls to want to be bi/lesbian and to come out as that, but not actually be truly bi or even lesbian.

Oh yea that's true. I was thinking that, but i wasn't sure. I think it's more common for girls to do that also.

Seriously though, I think you're just born the way you are. Sure, you could go through an experimental phase, and I believe that what you like CAN change. But ultimately, it's not something you can force.
