Doctors...

Shit I have a doctors appointment for the first time since I started cutting. Its a new doctor to so ive never even met him. I dont cut anymore but the scars are still very visible. Theyre on my thighs. I have to wear a gown thingy. I own no make up at all. I've talked to the school psycologist before so should I get her to give me a note or something asking the doctor not to tell me parents? They cant find out for my sake. I already have little to no freedom and already so many things are restricted. If they find out about this I might lose the few things that mater to me in life. When they thought I was suicidal they wouldnt let me have meds for anything, even when I was in pain. What do I do???

I don't legally think your doctor can tell without your permission, just like the psych can't. Make sure you tell the doctor you don't want her to tell, make sure she knows it's illegal, etc. The one time I didn't tell a doctor not to tell, she did tell, so yeah. Make sure you make it clear to her. I think you'll be fine otherwise though. Just double check the law in your area first. I'm assuming it's alright since the psych at your school didn't tell.

Since you're only fourteen it might not be illegal for them to tell your parents. I believe here in Sweden they don't have to tell your parents unless you're a risk to yourself or someone else. Perhaps you could talk to the school psycologist about it and also check with her what the laws etc is where you live? Good luck.

If you quit already then its not so much to worry about because when the doc sees and tell, you can say to your parents you quit. It may be hard, but its true. They will be more proud of you than mad because you overcame it.

My parents are the reason I use to cut. They have no respect for people that have ever self-harmed. Trust me they would never treat me the saem, and every time I fuck something up they have to go tell everybody. They dont have any respect for my privacy whatsoever. When I told them I loked girls they practically told every random person they met on the street. I asked them to stop an dthey said no.

Maybe or maybe not. I expected my mom to flip out on me if she found out but she cared, didn't flip out. She asked to see them and said she loved me and... Then left it alone except for the every once and a while she asks if I still do. So your parents may feel different because you are their child and if they ask why say its because of them because they might change.
