Locker Room Help

It's been a while since i've posted but I need some help!

I'm currently a swimmer and after practice everyday I shower with my speedo on in a communal type shower, just like every other guy on my team. But occasionally I need to shower naked just to get a better clean... The issue is that every time I try to shower naked (even when I'm the only one in the shower) I get a boner, no matter how hard I try not to! I try to make it less noticeable, but it typically doesn't work and I end up just putting my speedo back on so the other guys wont notice. I'm going to college next year and the showers are communal style showers too, and I'm not going to wear a speedo in a dorms showers because that would be awkward and I would be made fun of.

That being said, I was wondering if anyone else has or had this problem, and how to get rid of it! It drives me insane because there are a lot of my friends who shower naked in the locker room and they don't get a boner at all.

Background Info about myself (if it matters):

I have a girlfriend and we have sex about once a month

When I was younger penises used to turn me on but it was just puberty

and every now and then watch gay porn

My recommendation: stop caring. Really. It sounds stupid, but most guys don't care at all, and really some of them probably have the same issue at times. Being around sexually connoted or denoted objects have the capacity to cause this; it is not abnormal. I have a similar issue where I'll randomly have a boner just having a computer nearby, riding my bike(you don't know pain until this happens) , and just living life. They are just triggers, and water is a huge trigger, especially combined with a bunch of naked guys.

I would say stop caring, but you say that's not an option. Think of something unattractive in the shower. Like dead kittens, old women, idk lol. Keep your mind off anything sexual, so the guy downstairs doesn't get a rise.

As a last resort, you could try rubbing one out in a stall or something before you shower, after that you won't have the stamina to get a boner during the shower.

It's not as big a deal as you think it is I promise you. Every guy has a dick and every guy knows they get hard at weird times. If anyone says anything just ask why he's lookin at your dick in the first place....

I'm the same way, shy and really self conscious. I bone up alot and for no reason at all, like others have said - bike riding, walking, sun bathing, and swimming of all things does it to. If someone looks at me naked I'll blush beet red, in the shower I'll boneup as soon as the water hits me.

We have a shower room, without stalls, so you have ppl on all sides of you, no where to hide. I'll take off my suit if I was swimming and hold it in front of me as I walk to where the towels are.

The worse if PE, no suit to hold in front so it's there for all to see.

OH.I forgot to mention toweling off will make it bone as well.

What you have is normal, i guess cuz I have that as well.

I wouldn't worry about the swim practice showers much. Try jerking off before you take a shower. It will lessen the feeling. Also, don't focus on not getting a boner, that'll just make the hard on stay. If I were you, I would stop caring. Everybody gets them at awkward times.

I agree with the advice above when the guy said to stop caring. Seriously, swimmers are practically naked with that tiny Speedo covering your dick leaving little to the imagination. It is not like you're in junior high anymore, and by the time you are an upperclassman in high school no one cares. When you get to college no one will even notice you in a communal shower. Getting a boner in the shower is not a big deal, and it is not like folks are staring at each other's dicks in the shower. Nearly everyone goes into the shower, does their business, and gets out. Personally, I would stop worry about what others think about you and focus on yourself. In the end of the day the only person who is focusing on your penis is you because I doubt anyone else in the showers is going to be looking at you. Short of you having some sort of genital abnormality like a foot long penis or a penis piercing folks will leave you alone.

Hearing this is so new to me because where I live guys don't shower naked together in the locker room. In our school and the one I went to before, guys showered with swim trunks on every time because we don't have stalls.

I agree with everyone else its not a big deal it happens, dont worry about it, just try keep your thoughts away from anything sexual and relax leave it and will go on its own

I agree. Just dont be ashammed of your dick. If you pop a boner just act like its not there and if anyone says anything say: "Hey i get a boner so i can clean my shit better. Got a problem?"

Putting wet speedos on is difficult and clumsy really - anyways most times gys sort of grow out of the boner in showers thing so hopefully you will to.
