I'm tired of people saying its against the bible to date outside your race i want to see the scripture it says if your one race only date that race. And also voice your opinions on the matter

Ah I asked my mom. It came from the Old Testament- God told the Isrealites not to marry non-Isrealites because they would be under the influence of heretics who would convince them to worship other Gods. My rebuttal: The New Testament was written for a reason, to nullify the rules of the Old Testament. The Old Testament also says that women who cheat on their husbands should be stoned to death and you'll notice people don't exactly condone that sort of punishment these days. Well ok, there are some countries that still use stoning but they're mostly underdeveloped. My point is this- God took it back. It was necessary for the Isrealites, but we're not all Isrealites. Times have most definitely changed and God, all-knowing as He is, changed His rules accordingly, just like in any society.

i figured it had to be more on religion wise because the bible is a religous book

Indeed, it's purely a religious belief.

Diito, a lot of the Christian churches I've been too had interracial couples and they aren't treated any differently. Do you realize how much constroversy there would be if churches said no to interracial couples?! Jeez.

Theres a few couples like that at my church. We're totally fine with it; it just doesn't seem to be that common where I live (but we certainly don't condemn it in any way).

Which all just goes off of what I said initially- churches don't follow the rules of the Old Testament because God showed mercy and thus we have the New Testament. Judeaism [sp?], on the other hand, does go by the Old Testament. They don't believe Jesus is the Savior and thus don't believe in the New Testament. I don't know if they condone stoning, though, but somehow I don't think so...well I'm not really up to date on Jewish beliefs anyways so yeah.

It's crazy I find since doesnt it say in the bible that everyone should be treated equally?
my friends have dated black people before and I see no reason why it shouldnt be allowed.

Yep and I'll say it again........that's why the New Testament was written. New Testament, new rules. As in the old rules are gone. As in it's no longer wrong to date outside your race. Unless of course you only live by the Old Testament which seems rather absurd and close-minded, though that is of course completely and totally my opinion.

This is what I can't stand ... they say man was created in God's own image, we all have two arms, legs etc ... the only real difference is skin colour, and what does that matter? The bible says we are all equal, and that we should treat fellow man the way we wish to be treated ourselves, yet you get these religious extremists who preach that interacial marriages and relationships are a crime and a sin against God. Well, that's just bullsh*it in my opinion.
THE HAND OF FRIENDSHIP HAS NO COLOUR.

i personally believe in any dating if u like the person. My mom believes u should only marry within your race tho...
I completely 100% disagree because just because they arent in your culture, it doesnt mean that they arent a great person that u can fall in love with

However, only followers of Christ use the new testament. So i guess if you're Jewish (not that it is bad or anything) u might take the Old Testament more seriously than Christians do.
