When boardies get wet, they weigh more than I do. Can't really swim in them. So I wore my speedo (sometimes I'll wear trunks the same way) under them and take the boardies off at the beach, but after swimming can put them on - still dry - to walk the pier or whatever. Nothing worse than trying to walk around in wet boardies that are falling down because they weigh a ton wet. Plus, just not comfortable for walking when theyre wet.
