The amount of guys that post creepy comments on Girls P101 is starting to get a bit ridiculous in my opinion, I propose making people that are male on here not allowed to post, or even blocking the girls forum, and vice versa for the boys forum.
Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, it will earn you an infraction for posting in the other genders' P101 sub-forum. I do agree with you though.

Yeah it'd just be easier to start of by automatically blocking Questions For Girls and Questions To Boys, right when you choose your gender. People could still change their gender but it'd stop a fraction of them.

Why isn't it just made so the Males cannot post in the Girls P101 forum, but can still view it (that way they aren't totally secluded)? This is possible.
Same with the Guys P101 forum, allowing Girls to view it but not to post.

Don't think that's possible, unless there are groups made exclusively for males and females, and permissions are set for them (may be completely wrong).

If I'm not mistaken, VT has in place where you select your gender on registration (Male, Female, Undisclosed, etc) and based on the gender you assign yourself, you are placed into that usergroup. if that is the case, then this is possible :p

Usergroups aren't based on gender, no. Plus, if you want to your gender could be changed any time, rendering that system useless.
Wonder.

Wait... since when can't guys post in the girls section? I thought they just couldn't start a thread but could still reply?
Anyways, you have to take into consideration that there are some transgendered people here. Qusetions in P101 aren't ALWAYS about puberty, some are about masturbation, sex, and pretty much everything else considered "dirty". It's not fair that they would have to always post in the general section.

Oh dude since always.
Gender Specific Guidelines:
1) All members including all staff members can only answer questions in the P101 forum of their own gender. If you’re a boy, post in boys or general puberty. If you’re a girl, post in the girls or general puberty forum.

Anyways, as Steven said, the users could just keep changing their genders and stuff. There's no stopping users from reading. When mods see a guy in girls or vice versa, we do try and deleted the posts. However, we are human and we can't catch everything, so when you see it, report it and we'll take care of it. There's really no good way to block people from viewing forums, or from posting. Plus, what if the user doesn't specify their gender?

Infraction if you've done it before, otherwise it's just a warning.

Huh. Must've been a different forum that did that then. Good thing it's been about three years since I've been in P101. :P

I have to agree, some times I see some really weird questions or survey's which make me wonder if someone is just trying to get off to the answer. You never know

But reading them? I get some good info about the opposite sex (or just others in general.... From
READING about things. And isnt education part of what we're here for?

Pretty sure it was since that post was made in 2011 unless memory fails before that there was no such rule.
Considering the festering hole the P101 forums are theres no surprise. The only thing there is to do is to moderate it actively. Though I really can't think who or why would sacrifice themselves to such a horrible task.

I'm sure I was drunk when I signed up for the job last year...I'm only joking.
To the OP,
If you ever see guys posting then report it and if we notice them doing in continually well warn them. We won't warn for the odd post because sometimes people make mistakes but be assured we do warn people for posting in girls puberty and vice versa.
Also if anyone on or offsite ever contacts you for any inappropriate details or asks anything inappropriate then feel free to contact any of the staff and well look into the matter.

The "guys can't post in girls P101" rule only came into effect a few years ago, it used to be that they could post, just not make new threads. I also don't remember it being so creepy however, back then people actually posted helpful things. VT has changed a lot.

Reading them I think should be OK, I mean, it's just bodies :P
Starting threads: Why? It shouldn't be allowed.
Replying: I would prefer it to be Girl to Girl and Boy to Boy. I want to ask a question about periods and have a guy respond? I see quite a few males posting in the girls section.

That's why us moderators do our best to keep boy threads and post out. If a boy posts in puberty for girls we'll move it to questions for both, unless its inappropriate then its deleted or locked.
The best thing you gals can do is report people who post in puberty for girls who are not girls :)

To go back to the topic of guys seeing girls posts in girls puberty: Just remember this is the internet. You shouldn't post anything you would be embarrassed of someone seeing, especially if it embarrasses your already hidden identity.

It's not as much embarrassing as just creepy to me, if I ask a question about periods, I don't want a guy telling me how it should be based on what his partners have said.

Which is why they can't post in there, and if they do it's deleted pretty quickly.
