-Not sure where to post, so if in the wrong spot, please move- Earlier this month, I decided to watch porn for the first time. I am straight-curious so I watched straight and gay.. Tonight I went over to hang out with and my dad texts me that he's been going through my laptop, and is "concerned about internet activity." and that we can talk tomorrow. I get really nervous (and nauseous) when I even think about talking.. I mean, what if he thinks I'm gay, or tells my (super religious) mother?? Does anyone know what I am going through? Any advice/tips?

Make sure you start deleting your history! If he comes at you about being gay, just tell him you were curious! he should understand and ask him to keep the conversation between just the two of you!

I did... I even went as far as deleting the history off of the router.

What I usually do is use an alternative web browser that no one else uses. When you do start searching, try and enter a mode that doesn't save anything at all, so you won't have to worry about deleting the stuff after. Most of the web browsers have it, including Chrome and Firefox. Chrome is called "Incognito" and Firefox is just called "Private Browsing". But about talking to him, just say that you heard of some people looking at stuff like that, and you wanted to see what it was. And for the gay porn, just say that you wanted to see how large a "normal" penis is...

Maybe he got an alert from the ISP or something? It could also show up on a bill or alternative location. Like parental controls or something.

I guess you could make the excuse that it was a pop up, and you got curious? But in future - DELETE INTERNET HISTORY! Or put a password on your laptop. Another option is - you could use an internet browser that has an 'Incognito' option - which when activated doesn't record any history.

Your Dad should understand that watching Porn is a very normal thing for teenagers. But, I would suggest deleting your history in the future.
As for the conversation, tell him that it is not an issue and that you were just looking at it real quick.
If he thinks your Gay for watching Porn, then I'm sorry to say...your Dad is sort of dumb.
But, I highly doubt that is what will happen. He should understand as long as he is reasonable about stuff.

ok aybe just be cool and have the talk and your dad might know being curios and finding some porn is normal - you could also ask him just keep it man to man deal.
If you have any questions you feel you could ask Dad about then do so .

I recommend using a private mode on you internet. As for your Dad don't worry i'm sure he'll understand that your a teenager and are a bit curious, as the high chances was he was too!

Your dad was your age one before believe it or not. He should completely understand. With the gay, just tell him that you were just curious about it. But that you aren't gay. (If you are gay, explain it to him)

I always use the "Incognito" window. It doesn't save history. But if you have to, delete the history. Just explain to him why you was doing it

It takes a while to be secret about porn, delete history, use incognito tabs with chrome, use browsers they don't... It's scary I can tell you that. Just blow it off and say you were curious. Maybe it'll work out?

If i was you like most of the guys have said, get rid of that history, or open up a new account just for yourself so that none of your family can get on it. With the chat just tell the truth talk about curiousity, i bet your dad was the same at your age. Good luck

Mozilla Firefox and a handy setting to automatically delete your history every time you close the browser. and you don't have to join the Google chrome bot-net
