When I look at myself in the mirror I see a pretty okay body shape (well except for my tiny boobs). Except for my legs. They are just so big x.x

What are some excercises to do at home (I will start running soon) that can help reduce the fat on my legs? I have heard squats, wall sits, and lunges are good. What other ones similar? Please be descriptive on how to do them.

Also, how many times a day, and for how long will I have to do them?

Any other tips?

Thanks!

Why are your legs big? Aka: Is it mostly fat or muscle?

Fat :(

Both thighs (I can't even wrap both of my hands around one) and calves, though calves not as much

When you exercise to burn fat, your body will burn fat in areas all over your body. There isn't any exercise that will burn fat on JUST your legs.
Ex: doing squats/wall sits won't necessarily get rid of fat on your thighs.
The best is to do general exercise and practice a healthy diet with lots of fruits and veggies that limits fat intake, as well as do exercise to tone your leg's muscles.

Toned legs look great ;)

I have fat thighs and butt too. They look disproportioned from the rest of my body... :(

Yeah, I have a pretty good diet.

So...what are exercises that tone legs?

Basically any sport that involves running.
Tennis is great because it involves a lot of agility. :)
Have you done sports before?

I'm really not a sports girl :P

I started tennis, stopped due to financial circumstances, but am restarting soon.

Other than that? Uh...gymnastics K-3 and Ssoftball in 2nd gr.? XD

I think you'll be fine :)
Basically any active activity will do well.

Oh yeah I almost forgot.
Make sure you stretch a lot. Before, during, and after any exercise. This is SUPER impotant! :)

There's a few things I do for my thighs, it might be kind of hard to explain. I tried to find the thing that showed me how but I couldn't :/ But scissors are good, basically all you do is lay on your back, lift your legs up towards the ceiling, stretch them as far as you can (comfortably) then bring them together (to make it a bit harder, you can cross them a little.) Start out with 3 sets of 10, and if that's too easy, increase it.

I also do leg lifts (lay on your side and lift the top leg towards the ceiling).
I used to use this as well. some you need balls or weights to do, but there's quite a few you can just do. http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/workout/thighs/exercises/top-thigh-exercises/

It does sound awfully perverted. And yes, I know it's fat.
