First time using tampon...

I freaked out the First time I saw a tampon I was like u want me to put that in my vagina? I was 11 at the time....anybody else freak first time used a tampon?

Didn't really feak out. I think I was 12 the first time. I'd say it was awkward? Took me a few times before I got totally comfortable with them.

Yeah I wasn't thrilled at the thought of this yucky blood soaked thing stuck in me at all!
I still prefer not to use them

Which is worse tampons or pads? I'm not looking forward to using either of them.

I was ready for it, it happened when I was about 12 but I had already been carrying them in my purse or backpack and had a few in my school locker. didnt really freak but when it happened I just said ok this is it. for the longest time I kept the used plastic thingys in a box in my closet and mom ask me once why I kept them and I told her I was going torecycle them. She talked me out of it. LOL
Cassie, if you can use tampons, by all means use them. it's hard to swim in a pad and keep it in place.
