Who has heard of this game and/or has played it?
I heard of this game back in the summer of 2011 and decided to finally try it in Dec of 2011. I have loved the game ever since and it has become my favorite game.
My summoner name is Alfiex, and I'm Level 30 and Silver Division V and was Silver in S2 as well. :D
My favorite champion has to be Teemo. I have most of his skins. Cottontail Teemo is my favorite. He is too darn cute!

I like most DOTA style games, especially this one. I don't and may never play again because the only thing I learned is that the community sucks. They full of hypocrites, assholes, idiots and just rude people, more so then any other DOTA style game. My favourite character was Miss Fortune :3

I feel you.
Especially at higher levels.
Some people get so mad if you die just once.. or if you don't ward that exact spot on the map.. or if you forget to proc a skillshot.. or anything. They need to calm down. I also noticed there's alot of stoners on LoL, in-fact majority of my friend's list and the people I play premade's with are, LOL. Not sure if that is a bad thing.

Love it. been playing for nearly a year now. Lvl 22. I am a jungler in the making and support if needed. Fav champs are Cho'Gath and Sejuani. When ever i play in draft i usually ban Teemo unless someone on my team will play him and he is toward the top and not at the bottom of the pick list.

As much as I try I cannot get into MOBAs, I haven't tried League of Legends, but I have tried DOTA 2 and Heroes of Newerth along with a few Android MOBAs and I did not like them, so I doubt I will download League of Legends.

Majority of the newer champions if you have noticed are all broken or underpowered and Fizz is probably among the top 5 BROKEN champions.....I one shot a.garen and Darius with.my E....tell me thats not messed up....lol i had 1004 ap that game too btw...:D:yummy:

Its hard to get used to, its... different. But give it a week and i guarantee that you will understand the basics and will not want so stop playing.

first of all many "new" players are actually smurfs. Smurfs are people who are of skill but are playing on secondary, low level accounts. So don't expect the people you are playing with to be as clueless as you are.

You want to focus on last hitting minions to gain gold. It should be known that if you are under your tower 2 tower shots plus 1 basic attack from you will kill a melee minion and 1 tower shot plus 2 basic attacks from you will kill a caster minion.

While laning and killing minions you want to kill them at a pace similar to your opponent. If you kill them too slowly they will push up to your tower and you might miss the last hits and lose gold. If you kill them to fast you will push up to their tower and will be vulnerable to ganks (which is when the enemy jungler or an enemy from another lane comes to your lane to kill you).

Make sure to call MIA (if you are on the NA server) or SS (if you are on the european servers). (They mean the same thing but each server has a different term, I don't know why) These mean that your laning opponent has left lane and may be going to gank another lane. Also be sure to check if anyone has called MIA, some people forget to call so make sure to sue wards.

PS: Wards are your friend, buy some every so often, put them in key areas so you know where the enemies are/aren't

Lastly, watch some lives treams on twitch.tv
Watching how higher ranked / professionals play will give you an idea on what to and not to do.

Most of the recommended items are correct.
However, if you play a champ like Xin Zhao or Master Yi, their recommended items are based off of the jungle (dagger and 5 hp pots). Therefore, you shouldn't buy that. You should buy boots and 3 hp pots, or a long sword and 2 hp pots, or whatever you want to do. However, most AP Champs that go mid lane have correct item sequence that is recommended for you to purchase. :p Add me if you wanna play with me, I'm 'Alfiex'

so I just hit level 17, and I'm trying new characters a lot but so far I've really liked ezreal, elise and nasus best, also liked nami and leona and a few others. I just bought thresh and I'm trying to get better at him but hes kinda tricky

I would suggest on holding off buying a lot of champions and saving up for runes for when you hit 20. You're going to want to have at least 5 pages ( I only have 3 e_e) for each lane.

Well, not ranked, but draft. Only level 27. but same concept.

Well, don't really worry about runes now. learn the basics first. so last hitting different champs and so. Also, build your champion pool, so buy champions. once you hit 25 you will most likely know what your main role will be, my is jungle, then buy runes. but don't spend the $20 on the 5 page bundle. once you get good enough, IP will be easier to get.

naah. don't worry. i personally started at 20, cuz in my first draft match i HAD to go jungle. but in reality, wait till you know the basics. draft matches are the same as blind, only difference is that you ban. you have no rank like you do in ranked so don't worry about it.
