okay I got a Dell 4600 about a week ago and now have a powercord for it,
anyway I'm working on getting windows XP installed on it.

Specs:
Pentium 4 CPU, possibly 2.6Ghz
1GB ram
Hardrive space:40GB

Games currently working on getting/own:
Spore
Microsoft Flight simulator X
Seaworld Tycoon
The Sims (Original)
StepMania(Rhythmgame)
Minecraft

Does anyone know of some more good games I can get?

I was gonna say TF2 :D but it seems hes not too interested in an FPS.
I'm not sure if its too widely available anymore... But Fate? (About as close as I can get.)
It's a RPG where you have to complete the "ultimate quest[s]" or to kill monsters deep within a [several] dungeon[s]. The words are bracketed due to expansions creating new dungeons.

With those specs, your money is better spent on a new computer. Though anything made my Cyanide Studios is great, especially Pro Cycling Manager and Age of Thrones.

I can't complain, it was given to me for free :P

I see. Still though, the games you mentioned in the OP are high-RAM games, unlikely to be supported by your rig. I have Flight SIM X, and it is slow on my Win7 I5-3565 3.2ghz with 6GB RAM and HD 4200 graphics card.

League of Legends, it doesn't really need explaining everyone should know what it is by now (It's free!)

Don't Starve a fun survival game.

Guild Wars 2 the best MMO out at the moment.

Mark of the Ninja, ninja stealth game.

Here's some of my favourites. (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=167344)

Euro Truck Simulator 2

My graphics card is pretty bad so I don't think its gonna work as good for me. However for you I think it would work well. You can get a free demo of it as well.

GTA IV- its one of the most modded games for PC and easy to mod too. I have it but unlucky me, the computer my grandpa gave me isn't able to handle it(its not very old and he's a computer geek for a 70's + man, so no "Duh, old mans computer")

All of these games should be compatible with your specs:

DLC Quest if you are looking for a fun indie game.
Frozen Synapse if you are looking for strategy.
Cthulhu Saves the world if you are looking for an RPG.
Fractal: Make Blooms not War for a puzzle game.

AND VERY IMPORTANTLY:
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic for the best game ever.

Sims 3? I know you're getting the original Sims but perhaps you'd like the new one too?

Pretty sure S3 requires a dual core CPU and 2GB of RAM.

And that's pretty weak as well compared to some PCs. :P The i3 is equivalent to the Core Duo @ 1.8GHz in it's prime.... low to mid end...
