Why is it that our generation of males are so concerned with the size of our penises and are so afraid of each other seeing them? All of our penises look the same anyway, the only differences are between a few inches, whether you are cut or not, or whether you shave or not.

I don't think guys should be insecure in any way, I mean we all have one. Its the same thing.
The only person who should be concern with your penis is you and you future boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife, no one else.
Most people don't even care anyways, its like a fear of the unknown so to speak.

To answer the question you posed, it is a societal influence. Some would say a learned behavior, nurture not nature. However, there is a certain uncomfortability with nudity, and it's not just guy guy, but guy girl as well, do there is probably just an element of embarrassment being seen with you pants down.

The first time i'm naked in front of someone I sorta feel funny, mines smaller than my friends and also uncut. When I was youger my mom told me all boys have one and I felt better.

If a person is my age or close I'm cool with them looking, if it's someone way way older it might take me a few minutes to relax, then I'd be ok with it.

I like others generally prefer my privacy. Its got nothing to do with the look or the size or the similarities between penises but really more about the fact that I do like my privacy and see no need to show others my penis. Its simple as that.

Oh my gosh I was so scared when I saw your name haha I thought you where going to lock this question haha. Yes I do respect privacy, but I think that something like a swimmer like I am, we basically see each others penises( there is so little covering them) I don't understand why in the changing room they rap a towel around there waist... For a split second of nudity in Front of someone that has exactly the same thing between his legs.

I agree with you... That is what is wrong with our generation... I wish it was back in the days when friends would go swimming in the rivers nude... I would love to feel that way and just to do that one time, but NOOOOOO because my friends decide to hide whatever they have... And about people judging, I don't see the point. Because like you said everyone is the same... and to pleasure a significant other, all you need is 4 inches...

I'm the same way. Next year in school everyone showers after PE and it won't bother me. I shower nude at the beach with friends in a group now, we don't care how many guys are there at the same time.

A lot of people in the more recent generations are more patronizing and rude. Thus making people more self conscious about how they are perceived. I used to care about people looking at my junk but not I don't care. If people look or laugh I don't care. People will be bigger and people will be smaller than me it's all genetics and it's not something we can control. (at least not yet :D)

My friends and me have always been comfortable being naked around each other and at school almost everyone showers naked after PE and its never been an issue but I have been at summer camps where guys try to change hiding inside a towel and I thought it just looked stupid. I think part of why lots of guys are afraid to be naked even in a locker room is that I think we have lots of homophobia drilled at us so some guys are paranoid about either being seen by a gay guy or are afraid that if they pop a boner they will be thought to be gay.

Penis size doesn't bother me, no reason to, because every single person in school is constantly asking me if I have an erection. I don't know why which is what bugs me, probably my fat pushing it out or something. Only thing I really worry about is my weight because I put on 8 stone in 2 years and it hasn't been a good ride trying to lose it...

I guess I'm just a shy/private person and I don't think I have that good of a body or not that "impressive" downstairs or something and don't want anyone to see it and wonder what there thinking. I mean sometimes I look at others in my PE and all of them are bigger. Sigh :'( I'm like already self conscious about my height and stuff let alone if they knew about the other shortness. :'(

me an my friends are naked together a lot. we all shower twice a week after PE at school. none of us have a problem with being naked. my penis soft is easily the smallest of all my friends and most guys at school too. doesn't matter and doesn't bother me, it's the body I have.

Simply when you're older or even now you stop caring about your own penis size and stop worrying about it. When you do realize that it's not the size or do you shave or not etc it's all not even important in life.

When I go to shower like at swim hall I admit that I look at other guys penises but that's not my main thing why I'm there. Plus I don't even mind if someone else sees me naked I just stand under the shower and let people watch me much as they want to.

I can be nervous about it. But when I'm soft or cold my dick is tiny and I feel bad if anyone sees. Sometimes in the changing rooms after showering I rub it with the towel "to dry it" and it makes me part hard so I don't mind people seeing. Have to be careful not to overdo it though. :-)

Just as your title says. Everyone's self-concious. The main concern is that they won't be the same size as the others. I dont see why it's an issue. You cant control it and there are naturally people with big ones, people with average ones and people with small ones. But the way that I see it is that you cant change it so why make a fuss over it? You cant control your size so stop fretting over it is what I think.
