Does anyone around here use a straight razor? Like one of these?

I use one, and it's a bit of a pain to constantly sharpen it, but I feel that it's cleaner than a hand razor or electric. Plus, it's cheaper and feels more "sophisticated" lol.

Gillette Pro Glide here. Nice and smooth. I don't think I'd want to use one of those, ill leave a barber to that.

If I owned one and was not worried about slicing my jugular open. Yes I would. lol

You've just got to be really careful. I've never nicked myelf with it. I plan on becoming a surgeon, steady hands are a must!

It's a huge pain in the ass to keep sharpening it, they're not exactly dirt cheap, and it's time consuming. I do it for the slightly closer shave and to practice my steady hand. If you don't have the time, patience, or willingness to be cut- don't do it.

I don't use that one, but I do use a single straight razor like the bArber will use on you

I don't use one myself, but those rasors do look cool. The only time I had ever encountered one of those rasors is at the barber shop. I wouldn't feel comfortable using one of those myself, but I would be all right with a professional like a barber to use it on me. I think it is pretty cool that you know how to use one of those rasors.

It takes some practice, but it's a cool old-world kinda thing.

I have a beautiful old one from my grandad but I never sharpened it. Plus, it must take balls to shave that way the first time!

they're pretty cool looking, but I don't trust old ones. There's always the chance you could catch something from an old blade. I use barbicide to clean all my stuff, to prevent skin infections or something.

No one taught me, just figured how to from the Bond films.
I don't use a blade down there lol, only for facial hair. Not much stubble in the morning, I used to shave 2x a day. Now either once a day or once every two days.
