Is this is a good drawing?

Also, what exactly is free hand drawing? My family says I'm a good freehand drawer, but what does that mean? I never trace what I'm drawing, but I cannot draw from imagination, I must look at something to draw like a picture.

You have a few good things going on in this. You have a concept of value; meaning shading, shadow, highlight. You also made an eyelid (good job! A lot of people neglect this). Try to create an upper eyelid as well as a bottom eyelid. It allows a place for eyelashes to grow out of and will make the drawing much more realistic. Also, take into consideration that the eyeball itself is a sphere and will create a spherical curve above the opening, above the eyelid, and underneath the eyebrow. You should finish the drawing!

Freehand just means not tracing or using any other tools. Example: it's really hard to draw straight lines freehand.

I like it! My bf that's into the arty stuff and is doing it at college says more emphasis on the upper eyelid and better detail in the actual eye and its a 9/10-10/10. I like it as is but he has an eye for this stuff(pardon the pun)
