what do u guys think this is

i dont know what this is but it kinda is affecting me. like when a friend says a joke or something and others add on everyone laughs. i add on and its silent and thy say i killed it. also i always lose in comebacks. i suck at them idk why. what do u guys think this might be?

Maybe by the time it gets around to you it's already dead, or, maybe your sense of humor is just different. Try watchin some standups and see how they say stuff and how they time stuff. That might help you some. Learn how the pros make people laugh. Can't offer anything about comebacks, sorry. It's just not my thing. Good luck, man.

I have no idea why this is in mental illness, it should be in Family and Friends or something..

You probably just overkill the joke. If the same things gets said, or similar things said about it over and over again, it loses it's 'newness' and the initial humor of the joke. Or you sense of humor is just different. Try telling jokes or getting in and being the second person to add, if they laugh, you're probably just over killing everything else, if they don't, you might just find different things funny than them.

Dude, it really doesn't matter. Sure, you probably have a different sense of humor than they do. So what? It's not like it's the end of the world. You'll be ok. All else fails, find new people to hang out with.

your first post reminded me of what people used to say when i was in junior high. like when i find some of their remarks funny and i laugh, they just tell me i killed it. or if i'm trying to be funny they become all quiet and i feel like a total idiot.
