girls I need some period relief tips
I just started last night and I feel like a bag of shit
I am in so much pain right now I just want to die.
the past few months have been hell.
I pop pain killers frequently :(

do you girls have any tips on what I can try
I have alot of teas but idk which ones to drink.

Try a hot baths to relax your cramps, also apply heat to your lower back and tummy.

Be really careful with painkillers, specially ibuprofen, it produces stomach bleeding if taking in excess. You could try it at the maximum safe dosage of 600 milligrams as the first dosage then back to 200 or 400, but not to exceed the maximum daily.

What really worked for me, but is not available here in the US, was a drug called hyoscine butylbromide, is sold under the brands Buscopen in Europe and Buscapina in south america. My friend from Argentina once gave me a box of them and it was heaven. It is a abdominal antispasmodic, so it focus on the abdominal muscles, thus lessening cramps. She does send me a box per year and I only use them on extreme cases.

If you can get your hands on that drug, it will make your life better.

Eating healthy helps, so does exercise (I know that's the last thing you want to hear).

There are very easy yoga exercises that help relive muscle pain as well, just Youtube "yoga for period pain" or something, there's heaps. I've tried them myself, they work (yoga in general makes you feel awesome).

Also if they are as bad as this, go to your doctor so make sure there is nothing wrong down there, and also once you have the all clear, look into getting a proper prescription to help you.

I would go to a gynecologist and get it checked out you might have endometroisis, fibroids, cysts, etc that could causing you to be cramping worse. And maybe the Dr can give you a stronger painkiller like vicodin for those days you cramp. In the mean time you can try lying in different positions, Lying on your side with your knees tucked into your chest can temporarily reduce the pain. Another thing you can try is placing a hot water bottle or heating pad on your abdomen. This helps ease your muscles. Make sure your clothing isn't excessively tight especially around your abdomen area. Finally as one poster already suggested is masturbation, sexual activities do help anything with the menstrual cycle. Try to get as much as possible. Orgasm releases oxytocin, which causes uterine contractions, which eases pain. When you see your gyno maybe ask if your being on the pill might help. Birth control pills contain hormones which prevent ovulation and reduce the severity of menstrual cramps. Hope this helps.

Instead of Tylenol you should take midol. It's made to target period symptoms and for me it works like magic. Although, if you have a heating pad, try putting that where the cramps are. That's all I do for cramps.

Midol works best for those type of cramps and a very warm bath is good too. Be sure and see the gyno if u r having serious issues.

i have used midol in the past and it did the total opposite
it made my cramps 10x more unbearable.
I use tylen rapid relief
seems to help but only works for a couple hours
otherwise I drink alot of teas
