I've recently started wetting the bed again(no its not a wet dream) I was 9 when I stopped before. Has this happened to anyone else? I don't want to start wearing goodnights or underjams again.

Go pee before you go to bed and don't drink anything like a hour or so before bed

I don't believe there's much you can do other than going pee before you get in bed and not drinking too many liquids at nighttime

You should talk to your parents and go to your doctor so they can test you for diabetes just to rule it out. Do you pee more than normal when you're awake too?

That lost comment was just plain stupid btw. I know people who still wet the bed and all of them have grown out of it.

Mine was? If you think so then read this ( http://www.netplaces.com/type-1-diabetes/what-is-type-1-diabetes/signs-and-symptoms.htm).

just control what you drink see if that works ... try not having any water like an hour before you sleep :)

His comment was not stupid. I was like 6 when I stopped wetting the bed, but then at 7 I started wetting the bed out of nowhere and more often than before. I got tested and it turned out I had diabetes from a reaction from the flu. I didnt stop wetting the bed again till I was like 11 or 12 and my bloodsugar got undercontrol. Trust me it can happen I know from personal experience.

My best mate's younger bro he was 11 nearly 12 had a short spell - lie 2 months or so of bed wetting. not every night - just maybe sleeping a lot deeper.

More tired with puberty and such

Make sure you don't get cold at night. If I haven't just used the bathroom, and am cold, i usually had a higher chance of wetting the bed. It happened several times when I was 11, but it hasn't happened in years. Hope I helped you!

I kind of had the same problem you did, but when I started puberty my problem went away. My thinking is that assuming you're 13 and you're still wetting the bed means that you might have an issue with your penis. There is no shame about wetting the bed, and you should talk with your doctor to make sure your penis is all right. Some guys have a problem with their penises that prevents it from holding urine overnight which you might have. Just have it checked out because it is pretty easy to fix things now rather than if you're older.

Over the short-term you should definitely invest in a rubber mattress pad so that your mattress doesn't get soaked with urine. Also, avoid anything with caffeine (coffee and soda) before bed, avoid drinking any large amounts of liquid before bed, and try to urinate before you go to sleep.

Don't worry because your problem is a lot more common than you think, and your issue can be solved pretty easily in most cases as long as you talk with your parents and doctor.

Maybe you should take a piss before hitting the bed. Recommended also that you don't take too much fluids an hour or two before sleeping.

I recommend not drinking 1.5 litres of water before going to bed. I learn't that the hard way :P

There are several reasons you might have started wetting the bed again, as some have already stated, drinking too many fluids before you go to bed, or drinks high in caffeine (coca cola/pepsi cola, iced tea, tea or coffee). It could also be that you have a weak muscle that stops you peeing in your sleep. Its the same muscle you use when stop peeing midstream. If you practise exercising that muscle, for 10 mins every hour (by squeezing your bum cheeks together), this could strengthen it and MIGHT stop you doing it. However, I would go and chat to a doctor and get proper medical advice first.

try to avoid drinking any fluid within like 4 hours before you go to bed.

Right when i really started puberty I had the same problem. Use the bathroom before bed and it will go away.

I had a bedwetting problem til i was 14... that said, I don't know what to tell you or what advice to give. Well, I can give you the reassurance that you should be done with that within a year on its own and if its still a persistent problem, then go see a doctor. Just know its not extremely abnormal :)

Ok so we all know to go pee and to stop drinking fluids but also I find that I'm dry in the mmorning if I sleep on my side but it doesn't work all the time its more like 90% of the time also don't feel bad about wearing goodnights its ok I do every now and then also you may want to see a docter they can give you medication to strenggthen your bladder and if yo haven't told ur parents you should I know its embarassing but just call it a problem that's what my family calls it and also I'm going to the doctor soon to see iff I can get that mmedication and I'm 17 you also might grow out of it

Well, I do not mean this to panic/alarm you but you may want to go to the doctor. Just to make sure that there is nothing wrong internally! It may just be that your bladder muscles are weak and need to be strengthen!

My sister can't seem to stop wetting the bed and her nurse told her to cut out brown drinks (blackcurrant, tea, coffee etc..) completely and not to drink after 6pm. I know it's different circumstances but its at least worth a try
