how about some sort of test to join vt?

I've just been looking at the Introductions forum and its ridiculous how many people are clearly joining vt to cam/pic swap, there was even one blatantly saying they would. Would it not be better having like 3 simple questions about camming and pic swapping before people join, like in the sign up form to weed out all the horny kids?

Probably impossible or really complicated but its just a thought.

I'd be fine with it. There have been countless times that I have seen nude pics of like tits and what not. Because I'm responsible, I flagged it.

I can't really see how that would work out -- most of them get caught to begin with and it's not really a burden for members as it is for staff. I see your intention, but it's a bit impractical and I think it would be slightly ridiculous in itself to implement a quiz upon signing up.

I was thinking something like that haha, I know it sounds silly it was just a thought. I thought it might catch out some of the less intelligent ones.

I thought it would probably be more trouble than its worth.

this probably wouldn't be a bad idea
or even make new registering members fill out a questionnaire like why they want to join etc and what their purpose is in wanting to join the forums.

I mean unless you were to have some kinda of ticky box field I don't think it would work. Plus what happens if you "fail" the test, I don't think we can ban an IP instantly upon failing.

I like suggestion in theory but I don't know how practical it would work in the long term.

It seems rather tacky in my opinion. Since VT is a help site, we shouldn't have to test each member and become all-inclusive, we should be welcoming to new members and allow them to be able to make a thread if they really do need our help. Besides, people can lie about their age and be more reluctant to sign up thinking that they will be judged everywhere, and that this quiz is some sort of "initiation". Good suggestion but it doesn't seem too practical and a little inappropriate for the main area of VT.
