I don't really listen to them that much nowadays, but they're one of those bands that got me into music </3

Same here, I only listen to them every now and then but I still love them so much and one of my good friends and I always said no matter where we were living we'd go to a concert together one day. :'(

Its odd because they were part way through recording another album; and they did this before Danger Days while recording Conventional Weapons except that time it wasn't official, so maybe they just decided that this session wasn't going anywhere and will come back in a few years like last time and the whole splitting thing is just letting people know they're not gonna do much in the near future.

I don't think they'd started a new one yet, were just planning on it. And I think this is for good, unless they do a reunion tour (which really would not surprise me, especially since they just released a bunch of "new" music. But yeah, they sounded pretty final about it.

Personally, while it is sad, I think the quality of their music had gone down a little bit. Their music only would've gotten worse since they clearly aren't feeling it anymore. So as upsetting as it it, I think it's good they ended it when they did.

3 of my friends practically broke down when they heard. They were hoping MCR would tour again because they've been in love with them for 6 years. I feel sorry for the hardcore fans seeing as it was practically out of the blue.

I woke up to find out on tumblr and I broke down. They were the band that first got me into listening to music. It was sad, I was driving yesterday and Welcome To The Black Parade came on (and a personal fave) and I had to pull over since I could hardly see and breathe properly. I was hoping they'd do a tour, I've always wanted to see them. But now, :c

It was so shocking for me.

I hated their newest album though the fabulous life of the killjoys or whatever it was called
black parade was my most favorite. I'll still miss them though

I never got obsessed with them like some people do, so I wasn't too distraught over their breakup. Still pretty sad though. They were very professional about it, which was nice.

I liked their music other than Danger Days (it was eh to me). I'm not too shaken up by it though because it wasn't like they were making a big name in the music scene anymore.

MCR is an alright band. not one of my top faves but do listen to them from time to time
its a shame they broke up. hopefully Gerard way will make a solo career of himself :)
the black parade was the last good album they ever made
