Help with this girl

So I have a crush on this girl at school. we're both 8th graders, in a few classes together, and on the same bus, so I see her somewhat frequently. So I like her and asked her out. She said no. Nothing wrong so far, yeah? Well, here we go. I don't know why, but she seems to hate me now. Whenever I try to say hi to her, she ignores me or says something rude to me. And I also noticed that she gives me weird looks every so often. I wouldn't exactly call them dirty, but they're odd. And it's really annoying because I just want to be her friend now. Is it me? I understand if she doesn't return my feelings, but why is she so mean to me? I don't put this girl down (or many people at all). Thanks in advance.

She probably wants to get away from you for a while, let ur feelings cool down. But will also be a case of how you ask her out. If you went from just sharing a bus ride, classes, but did not first establish a series of conversations to get to know her better, to asking her out, she's freaked out by you and scared of you.

It does depend of the context of where you were and what you did when you asked her out.

try not to let it bother you
don't harp on her. and forget about your feelings because they're probably not going to go very far. try looking for some one new
