Is it odd to have brown nipples even though I'm light skinned?

Hey ladies, this has to be one of the only serious questions I have asked here so I need you all to take this into some careful consideration and not just respond with "idk" or something. Alright?

I am a Russian female. Light-skinned. Caucasian, I'd assume. But regardless of that, I have always had these "exotic" brown nipples and areolae. What I want to know is: how is that possible? Is that normal? Am I mixed with something that I don't know about? Every other "white" girl I've come across in locker rooms, at the YMCA, etc; they have all had pink, light pink or bright pink or at least pale pink nipples.

My nipples have always been this way, period. Ever since I was a kid. Is this normal? Does this happen to anyone else or is it just me? Please help, I really am confused by all this nonsense. x3

Well, I'm white, and I was weird too, mine were brown when I was a kid, but now they're a light pink. I Don't really know why it happens, but my mom asked her doctor about it once, and she said it was strange but not really rare, and it's completely harmless, so that's good.

The color of a persons nipples can be anywhere from the same shade of their skin to quite a few shades darker, it's totally normal. And overall skin pigment is based on melanin levels which is based on your genetics. And seeing as there is no way to change your genetics, you can't change the color of your nipples. Everyone is a different and the nipples and areola as well as the inner and outer labia can range anywhere between very pale pink to almost chocolate color. People with red hair tend to have less melain in their skin and as a result end up on the pinker side of the spectrum. I wouldn't worry about this too much because eventually if you plan on having children they darken during pregnancy. I don't think the color is an issue when it comes to guys or other girls if your so inclined that way in a relationship.

Hey! It is normal. I'm light skinned with the same nipple issues as you. I've met acouple of girls that way at school and we are all okay with it.

I think it's very normal and it has to do, I think, with the genetcis and I've seen before light skinned women with darker nipples.

It's normal. Mine aren't like dark brown or anything, more tan really, and darker when hard and I'm incredibly pale, especially in that area.

This is pretty much spot on. Your ethnicity doesn't necessarily guarantee a certain look. My mother, sisters and I are all Welsh/Scottish/Irish. So pale skinned and light pinkish nipples except one of my older sisters has brown nipples like you described. It's just part of who you are.

Aside from my youngest sister (who is just starting puberty so I won't count her), we all have pretty large breasts. Mine are the smallest at a D cup now. Somehow, despite their size, she has smaller areolas that are very circular. And because they're brown on her pale skin they stick out. The rest of us have pretty large and round areolas. They're round, but not perfect circles. Mine are such a light pink they're hard to see.

I'm pretty light skinned except in the summer, and mine are kinda dark brown. I have a friend who has super light pink ones, and I think they're really sexy. Her boyfriend had the nerve to tell her he didn't like light-skinned nipples. WTH!!! I told her if he doesn't like them she should never let him see them again. I would LOVE to have her nipples! In more ways than one, hehe.

Sometimes nipple color can change during puberty, but I am not an expert on this. :P I have darker skin (I am Chinese) so my nipples have always been a brown color. It's just your genes. They may change, they may not. But it's nothing bad. :)
