Anyone here handy with cars or a mechanic? Need some advice on where to find a Tech2 software update, the dealer won't give me it >:o

I'm working at a mechanics this summer. Pretty decent already with cars. I work on my truck when I can. I'll look into that for you, see what I come up with.

Edit: is this (http://www.nastf.org/i4a/pages/index.cfm?pageid=3461) what you're looking for? One of the links in their should take you to a site where you enter the cars VIN and can get a software update for it.

Nah, that's not it. A Tech 2 is a GM OBD scanner, its just a pain in the ass to update

The link I provided has a section on the page where you should be able to update it - it is specific for the Tech 2 system.

It's for ECU reprogramming through the car's OBD-II port. I need to update the device itself, not the car's ECu
