how to ask a friend if hes gay or curious?

I'm sure you feel kinda awkward about your situation with your friend. but, the only way to find out is to ask him. but, be prepared for him to turn around and ask you the same question.

My policy is I'll just straight out ask someone. It will be slightly awkward for you and him but then you'll have an answer. If he says he isn't it means one of two things. 1, he's straight. 2, he's bi/gay and just not ready to come out yet. In which case, I would respect his wishes and just not bring the subject up again until he's ready.

i used to be against this but reading some other threads i think it could save them a lot of stress to just get it over with, that is if u won't freak out if the answer is yes. Do it privately and just make it clear ur ok with it when u ask.

You could just not ask him. His sexuality isn't really your business and it's not like you have to know, if he is gay then he'll tell you, you don't need to wonder. Asking a question like that can be offensive too, you're basically asking "are you gay" just because you act gay. I've had that a lot when I act gay, but I'm not gay, and other people are just sticking their nose in.

I'd say it really depends on your motives for wanting to know. The only reason you should ask him that would be if you're crushing on him and want to know if he might feel the same. Otherwise, it's really none of your business, unless and until he decides to tell you.
