View Full Version : Feeling like crap

As some of you might have seen, I recently came out to my best friend and I was really happy about it, I was glad he didn't hate me for it, and that nothing seemed to have changed. It's funny how that's probably part of the problem...

I am just feeling like complete crap... he got mad at me for something stupid and unrelated, but he is my only real friend so him getting mad is pretty much having nobody to talk to or anything and it just makes me feel lonely and depressed.

I came out to him because he is my best friend and I really thought he deserved to know, but I guess I also kind of hoped it would make us closer and our friendship stronger but it feels like its just another burden and annoyance for him...

yeah these days it's often a big deal to the gay person but then others don't get that. Like i see u spent months trying to say it and now it's a let down? That makes total sense to me but your friend can't relate but maybe if u tell him that?

I mean if u dont bring the subject up he's gonna think u dont want to talk about it. It may also help to find a gay friend or 2. yeah i know easier said than done. Whatever happened just apologize and it'll blow over.

This is really good advice. If you aren't more straight forward with him and tell him what you told us on here then he's just going to let it go under the rug. If you tell him what steellord321 was describing, about being let down and how you feel about that, then he may be able to understand your feelings a bit more.
