Hello,

I am about to explain a personal issue that I've had for a while. When I was 13, I masturbated in the shower with some sponge made with rough foam. After I did that, my the head of my dick was bright red and really sore for about 2 days.

I'm 18 now. Since that event, I have noticed that when I masturbate sometimes, I get this uncomfort and a pain that I feel on the head. I also have to move my hand in a different way when I masturbate so it doesn't feel bad. When I look at it, it looks slightly scarred.

I still feel pleasure when I masturbate, but I'm worried that it's not as much as it could be.

I was wondering if you guys had any thoughts on this. I'm hoping there is some sort of medical treatment that can help.

Thanks

No one on here is anywhere near qualified to give sound medical advice, so I advise with an issue like this that you go see a doctor about it.

My advice for you would be exactly what Will above me said. None of us here are anywhere close to being doctors, so you should go talk to a real doctor if you're really worried that this issue will somehow severly impact your life, now or in the future.

I think only a doctor can answer this for you.

Assuming this was some sort of bath sponge, then I doubt that it scarred or messed up your penis. Unless we are talking about one of those sponges that folks use to scrub dishes, then I don't think your penis' head had gotten messed up from the sponge.

Everything depends if you're cut or uncut because if your uncut, then your foreskin might have issues. You have nothing to loose by making an appointment with your doctor to have your dick looked at because without actually seeing it, then it's hard to tell you what's wrong. If you're sexually active, then you definitely should be tested. Otherwise, be honest with the doctor because he/she can tell right away on what your problem is. It tough to tell you what you have because it could be anything, but a doctor can tell you exactly what's going on. Don't be embarrassed to make an appointment because doctors see penis problems all the time.

It's a pretty basic question, and I doubt any physicians would ask too many questions. I understand that it will be awkward to simply go to a doctor a initiate any sort of conversation. "Hello there, doctor." "Well, hi. How can I help you today?" "Well, it's just the darndest thing; my penis tends to hurt when I play with it too much. The tip looks to be all scratched up!"
Since you're 18, I suppose you can book your own doctor's appointments, but if your parents want to know why you're going there, that would be even worse. "Hey son, why do you need to go to the doctor?" " Uh, well, you see, dad..."

Either way, awkward as it may be, a doctor will at least be able to help you figure out the problem. This is a good first step if you're worried about it. I'd go see a doctor and simply start the conversation with "This is hard to talk about, as you might imagine, so I will be making small and frequent pauses while I talk about this. This is normal, as this is a sensitive subject." I'm sure the doctor will guess it has something to do with your nethers right away, so that pretty smoothly breaks the ice.

Hope all goes well for you in the future!

You'll have to see a doctor. I cannot give any medical advice nor can anyone else on here I doubt.

Its a pretty basic question

What I meant was: the consequences that could result from his penis being damaged and the medical attention that may follow after is something almost certainly no one on here has experience with/is qualified to answer.

Right, I meant that for a doctor, I'm sure it wouldn't be too far-fetched a question.

You could ask your doctor. It could have damaged (hopefully not severely) the head of your dick.

Definitely talk to your doctor. It's nothing to even be embarrassed about. They've heard and seen pretty much everything. Hope you feel better soon.
