Please people, read the sticky in this section that says to read before posting...
Rep in the FAQ (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/faq.php): all about Reputation (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/faq.php?faq=vb3_user_profile#faq_vb3_reputation)
1. Reputation System
You can view all information about the rep system here.
Don’t get too worked up about it though, you don’t get any special privileges if you have a higher rep than others, and no administrative action is taken based on it.
If you feel that the rep system was abused, and you therefore received reputation from someone you shouldn't have, PM one of the admins, who will look into the case. But remember, just because someone may not agree with you, doesn't mean the rep was given unfairly.

EDIT: The "1" is your rep power. You get +1 rep power every 50 rep pts, every 6 months since you joined, and every 1000 posts you make. You can see the amount of rep pts you have in your UCP and the archive of what you received/gave.
