It varies from person to person, some people dont change at all, some can double, there really isnt a exact average for length from soft to erect but I would say about double seems around right,

it can vary greatly because some flaccid penises are very small, while some may seem semi erect. for me the difference is about 3 inchs (doubles in length).

It looks like the size difference varies alot (of course) but most guys (whatever size they are) either double or triple in length when they get hard. I myself go triple (from a little over 2 inches to 6.25).
