Loose Wire in X12's

Well, I got back home today, and decided to get on Xbox. I plug in my X12's, join my friends party, and notice I can't hear him. I also notice it says my mic is making a noise, yet my friend tells me he cannot hear me. I noticed the wire on the side is loose. Any ideas on how to fix it, or did 60 dollars just go down the drain? :(

If you could provide a bit more information, that'd be helpful. Where exactly is the wire, how much is sticking out, and could you provide us with a pic of it?

Never mind, I just pushed the wire a tad bit farther in and gave it a bit. It's all good now. Sorry for that :whoops:
