My girlfriend and I have been dating for almost a year now, and a few days ago I found out that I got her pregnant. I'm extremely scared and right now we're trying to figure out whether or not we'll keep the baby. We have plenty of people that we think could help us if we do keep the baby and I already have a summer job but I can definitely pick up another job during the school year. I mean, it would be cool to have a kid, but I'm terrified. We kinda figured that she was pregnant but we were in denial. We used a condom, but it had a hole in it and we didn't notice until afterward.

The first thing you need to do is tell your parents if you haven't done so already. Taking care of a baby is a big responsibilty and you didn't mention how old your gf is but I'm guessing at least around the same age as yourself. Whatever you decide make sure this is something you can both live with. As for getting another job to help support this child on the way is comendable but not always the best decision. The most important thing right now is to see that your gf gets prenatatal care and emotional support from you. Given your ages I believe it's instrumental in enlisting the aid of both set of parents if at all possible this isn't something you can do on your own.

We are both 16. And I told my parents yesterday. My dad was pretty chill about it but he's really disappointed and my mom just spazzed and hasn't stopped crying since. And yea, if she keeps the baby we'll definitely get her prenatal care.
