So I really REALLY like my best friend but he doesn't know or for that matter he doesn't know I'm gay... He stays the night a lot so I was wondering when the best time to tell him would be.... I dont want him to be at my house and feel "trapped" (for lack of a better word). Also, what would be a good way to do it? I wad thinking something along the lines of

Me: Hey if I tell you something do you swear on your life to not tell anyone else?

Him: (theoretically) Yeah man no problem.

Me: I'm gay.

So that is kinda my plan as to how now i just need some help on the when.

Thanks a ton,
Zach

Puberty for Boys  Teen Sexuality.

I'd change the first line, because anyone who wants to know information would say yes, maybe change it up a little as that line does sound quite cliche.

Otherwise you've pretty much got a good plan and its also a good idea to tell him outside of your house as like you said, you don't want him to feel trapped.

I just don't know when lol I mean he is a grade below me so at school is out of the option and I live in the country and he lives in town so just hanging out doesnt happen too much.

Oh and sorry where are my manners? Thanks so much for the help.

Please no double posting. Edit next time. -Grumpy

Hm...seems like you have the right idea, just be straight up and tell him. I think it should probably be in person instead of texting or something like that though. Next time you guys hang out just tell him you trust him, and then tell him you're gay. It won't be a big deal if you don't make it one, so just relax. Hope it goes well.

Ok thanks for the advice but I have one more question...How do I make myself man up and say it because I have told 2 people I'm gay...2 girls one over Facebook she took it great and the other at school but I couldn't bring myself to say it I had to type it on her phone and show it to her....I still hate myself a little everyday for that...

I dunno, just gonna have to do it. I saw once in this movie that all you need is 20 seconds of courage. Just relax. Breathe. You'll do fine.

Hey, Zach, you should be patting yourself on the back, not criticising. You are doing great.

Honestly, that might not be the best way to say it, but if it works, go for it. He's your best friens, you shouldn't be too scared.

I DID IT I TOLD HIM!!!!!!!! I'm so happy I told him last night at his house this is how it went:

Me: Ok so I have something kinda serious but I don't wanna say it seriously cause I promised katie (friend who I came out to second) that I would say it like this.

Him: ummm ok?

*like 3 minute pause that felt like oh Idk like a year*

Me: let's get one thing straight, I'm not.

*longest 10 seconds of silence ever*

Him: what?

Me: just think about it for a second.

Him: I did...how do you know?

Me: I just do.

Him: well you it doesn't change anything right?

Me: *fireworks exploding in my heart and brain* oh my god thank you so much I have been trying to tell you for like a week
