This is different from your dream car.

Out of all the cars that you've driven in (either one you, your family, a friend owns, or even a test drive at a car dealership), which would you have to say is your favourite, and why?

Mine's a close tie between the '13 Nissan Leaf, and the '13 Dodge Grand Caravan.
I like the Caravan because it has a lot of storage space, a necessity in my family when we make our 2 week migration to southern California in the summer, and the features it has on it, such as one touch door opening and surround sound audio makes it "way cool."

I've gotten to drive/ride in so many cars at the track that I race at it would be hard to pick, though most of them are old muscle cars. I got to drive a Ford Mustang Mach 1 Fastback with aftermarket parts, that may have been my favorite because it was in mint condition but besides that I loved driving a Hemi Cuda and my overall favorite street driving car was a Ford Excursion :) I like the powerful engines

Definitely this. Powerful, agile, and spacious enough for me. I never got a chance to let hell break loose on the highway, but throttling it very quickly around town at speeds of over 70mph with corners & traffic was hella fun :)

I've driven a Audi R8, Maybach 52, Rolls Royce Phantom, Lambo Gallardo, Ferrari 360, and some others. The most fun, fast car I've ever driven was the Ferrari. My favorite modern classic car is the BMW 850CI. favorite muscle car is a GT500 mustang or a classic Eleanor. favorite SUVs are the H1 and Excursion.

My favorite vehicle that I've been able to drive has to be my uncle's Heavy Duty Wrecker. It's a Kenworth T800 with a 75 Ton Rotator, pretty sure that it's either a 2008 or 2009. I'ts got a Cummins N14 engine and it's nothing but a pure and absolute beast.

Yes it was, but that's why it's his and not mine haha.. His was a custom order from the factory in Tennessee when it was new and I think it was somewhere around $270,000 when it was all said & done.

CaliforniaMatt
March 25th, 2013, 10:39 PM
It's a Cummins too, solid engine.

The Redlight Bandit
March 25th, 2013, 11:02 PM
Oh yea, absolutely... The N14 is one of their best models also, plus the tranny in the truck is a powerhouse as well.

Although I prefer other diesels, Cummins can't be beat in an industrial setting

The Redlight Bandit
March 25th, 2013, 11:18 PM
You're right man, Cummins and Caterpillar go head to head all the time but I'd take an N14 over a C15 anyday

CaliforniaMatt

I use a fair amount of Cat heavy machinery, it's much more of a b**** to fix

The Redlight Bandit
March 25th, 2013, 11:21 PM
Same here, at work all we have is either Cat or Case loaders and Cat is a fucking moneypit when it comes to ordering parts

CaliforniaMatt
March 25th, 2013, 11:25 PM
I can't stand anything Case.
Even in sunny California I have to use fuckin starter fluid in everything from Cat compacts to the giant D15s at the job sites.

March 25th, 2013, 11:26 PM
Hahahaha that sucks, what do you do man?

CaliforniaMatt
March 25th, 2013, 11:28 PM
No Cat machines ever want to start easily. Most are new, too.
Plus, when something breaks, it's not usually a cheap part.

The Redlight Bandit
March 25th, 2013, 11:33 PM
Yea everything from Cat is expensive, it sucks.. what do you do for work bro?

CaliforniaMatt
March 25th, 2013, 11:38 PM
I have three jobs: in a hospital ER,
At my dad's company, they do residential and large-scale industrial engineering and construction, I'm a foreman
and as a mechanic for friends, or when the local shop is understaffed.

The Redlight Bandit

CaliforniaMatt

I'm helping him out because: 1. I'm good at what he does, grew up in the industry 2. because he's getting older, helping him until retirement

I want to become a surgeon, though.

The Redlight Bandit
March 25th, 2013, 11:52 PM
Wow man, thats a far ways from working in this field haha.. but that's cool though as long as it's what you want to do. you have to enjoy your job in my opinion, if you dont than it's not worth it.

Mine would have to be the 2012 Aston Martin DB9. Me and my dad test drove one because he was going to get one. That thing was so nice inside. It also was really fast and sounded so nice. He got a Porsche 911 turbo S instead. That thing is sweet!

I like my parents' van (which I think of it as the "big" car - used to think of it as "Mom's" car). It's roomy inside and I like the sliding doors. Since I can't drive yet, it's my favorite car I've been in.

My dad's V12 Vantage...sick car
My Subaru is a total sleeper. '97 Legacy Wagon with a full STI swap. 450 horsepower, supercharged. Car looks pretty much stock except tint and wheels, so it surprises people! Really fun to see the looks on their faces.

There's nothing like going off-road in a topless and door-less Wrangler...

Also, even though it is incredibly ugly, I found the Nissan Cube really comfortable to drive for some reason.

STI motor swap yet supercharged?

I took the engine, trans, axles, suspension, brakes, and interior from the STI, I then did a ton of work to the engine including removing the factory turbo and going for a supercharger instead, basically zero lag on this system. I had also cracked the block on the original engine for the Legacy, otherwise I would have just built that...

I got to drive my dad's friend's 2007 Corvette, it's got a fully built motor with a turbo roughly the size of a small country, he's got it tuned to 900 rwhp for as he says "fuel economy" lol He let me drive it last summer and it's freaking insane!

Most amazing would be the buggatti veron, don't even know how to spell it, while I was in Dubai during the winter some family friends took me for a spin, by a spin I mean drag strip 0-60 in an uncomfortably fast time. The most comfortable car I've driven would be my mums Bentley.
